A Place Rich in History

Nestled on the banks of the magnificent Murray River, Willowbank is a fourth-generation family farming property spanning more than 300 acres. First purchased in 1903 by Ann Sophia Gray as a place for her family to settle and farm, Willowbank has remained in the same family’s care for over a century and continues to be a working farm today.

With more than five kilometres of Murray River frontage, Willowbank is a place where history, nature and celebration come together. Every corner of the property holds a story, and today we are honoured to share this remarkable setting with couples as they begin the next chapter of their own.

The Weigh Shed – Standing proudly beside the river, The Weigh Shed is a lasting reminder of Willowbank’s farming heritage. Originally built to store chaff for the property’s cattle, it grew alongside the farm as crops of potatoes, beans, watermelons and other produce flourished. For generations, the farm’s harvest was stored, sorted and weighed here before making its journey beyond Willowbank.

Today, its purpose has changed, but its character remains. The Weigh Shed now provides a truly unique backdrop where unforgettable celebrations become part of Willowbank’s continuing story.

The Beach Paddock – At the turn of last century, long before it became one of Willowbank’s signature locations, The Beach Paddock was a favourite gathering place for local families. Affectionately known as Brighton Beach, it welcomed generations of visitors who came to picnic beneath the river gums and swim in the cool waters of The Murray River.

Today, that same sense of connection and natural beauty lives on. Surrounded by towering gums, sweeping river views and open skies, The Beach Paddock offers a breathtaking setting where new memories are made and love stories begin.
