For those who are new around here, let me introduce myself—I’m Tracey Basham, the heart and hands behind Enhance Styling + Events, Enhance at Willowbank, and Elopement Co. Enhance has been my world for more than 15 years, but my journey actually began with a little stationery shop called The Paper Emporium. For seven years I surrounded myself with pretty papers, fonts, and ribbons, and during that time I saw a gap in the market and created Enhance Design. Not long after, I purchased a business called The Elegant Chair and eventually merged the two to become what you now know as Enhance Styling + Events.
When Covid changed the way we celebrated, I created Elopement Co., a way for couples to enjoy intimate, heartfelt weddings when big gatherings weren’t possible. That little idea has stayed close to my heart—and elopements are still one of my favourite ways to celebrate love. Then came Enhance at Willowbank, a collaboration with my long-time friend Vicki. We go way back in the events world, and it’s been such a joy to join forces again to create a magical riverside venue that feels like a hidden escape.
As for me personally, I’ve studied Visual Merchandising, Interior Design and Event Management, which means I’ve always loved creating beautiful spaces. Growing up on the retail floor of my parents’ businesses gave me the confidence to work for myself, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Away from events, I’m a proud mum to a beautiful boy, a wife, a travel addict (always planning the next adventure), and a big believer that one can never have too many handbags.
At the end of the day, I just love helping people celebrate. Watching ideas come to life and seeing the joy on people’s faces never, ever gets old. So if we haven’t met yet—hi, I’m Tracey! And if we have, thank you for letting me sprinkle a little magic on your day.
